warning about Ebay reels.

Hi lads, there are some reels on ebay, advertised as PENN RODDY baitcasting reels, lure/bass pluggers.
I won a bid one for $19 USD. and was told the postage was $12,
then the seller emailed me to say he hadnt realised that I was international. and the post cost was $42, I asked for his permision to pull out of the deal ( I could have anyway, but I didnt want negative feedback on my Ebay profile) he ignored my emails (3) so I paid. the reel came with a post cost of $28 USD, I emailed him to ask why Id been charged $42 when post was $28, he said it was package and handling (????

and then I used the reel for the first time on Saturday.. Its garbage.

bought a couple of the roddy reels myself a 175 and 181 from uk sellers your right there crap ,lucky for me the brother in law took em off my hands im still waiting for feedback from the seller after 2 month

You should have contacted Ebay and pulled out.

best to study the advert carefully and ask as many questions as possible before you part with your hard earned......

thats the one I bought the 175... utter crap. not worth the scrap value of the aluminium spool.

Put a litle warning in the Sunday Sun, hope they print it, sounds like a bit of a con to me charging extra postage. Hope you did inform E Bay
