    Hi guys.

    Just wondering if there's any peeler crabs in the rocks??

    Probably too early.

    You won't get peelers in our area until next year mate, they usually start around mid may depending on the the weather, if we have a mild April they could be a few weeks earlier.. First to show are in the traps the lads have in the rivers.. Hope this helpful mate..

      too late.....

      seasons over for us. you could find the odd one but you'll turn over a lot of rocks to find it.

          Thought so, stick with digging rag on the headland.
          Just got some new fishing gear and itching to go.

            Most of the Green shore crab have disappeared now with the explosion of Velvets along our coast.
            Two years ago i went to a mark that i could get at least 40 a tide with the lamp at night 10 years ago and only found 2.
            I,v never done any good with Velvet peelers.
            Plus,you are only allowed 10 Velvets per day from the beach anyway......

              Dont know about too early but certainly too late...I reckon you could still get a few mind but not worth the amount of effort to find them and you could well end up with none, I wouldnt bother.
