i think people use the 'locker' because most have the app on their phone and find it easier/quicker.
I know you can get NESA on your phone but its not as good as the facebook app.

I think the taptalk app for this forum works great. I'd rather use a forum than Facebook, no structure to it

Agree about tapatalk and the proper forum structure. Much better organised than the news feeds on facebook

Is this not a bit of an odd debate

As when you break it down.
One is a closed group on a facebook page which isn't formatted the other a structured & sub categorised forum. So on this basis yes NESA should / will be the easier site to navigate.
Other than this surely they are very similar if not the same ?

i.e. remove the structure (sub categories) of a Forum & what do you have ?

Truth is it doesn't matter which way you look at it both are fuelled by the same thing !

This being the content provided by the people using them & to be fair I would guess 80% of members them will be on both & use them both as information resources ?

Himself makes a canny point above on the structure but having read this thread I've gone on the Locker a few times in the last few days and think there are a couple of obvious differences.

First, posters on here seem happy to provide a bit of assistance, either by calling out a mark where they had fish or sending PM's. As someone new to Northumberland fishing this has been a huge help for me. I don't see anything like that on the Locker where to me it looks more like people bigging up their catches.

And nowt wrong with that as I'd big up some of the catches I've read about on there laterly. But the other difference seems to be that loads of the threads degenerate into schoolyard name calling, insults and my dads bigger than your dad.

Each to their own but it summed up all that is ****e about Facebook for me.

I think you're missing the point.
