sorry lads for asking about this again but i yet again need more advice with maccys.
whens the season going to kick in. whats better spinner, float or daylights. and if i am using floats what is the best bait

what about when the season starts its diffrent every year when do the maccy make there appearence in the N/E
last year it was late into july before they showed up in numbers.
2007 it was mid june, differs from year to year.
the boat lads will normally let you know when there getting close
Difo every year, all depends on weather, food etc. I have known some years when they never hit the shore in numbers at all.
As stated it was late last year for them from the shore but boats getting them 3rd week in May. I am heading well out next week then i am off and i expect to land a few but god knows.
As for catching them..dont worry about it...if they there they will take ANYTHING no skill no tactics just chuck something in the water thats smaller than them and they will eat it lol

aye a lad a know was tellin is the boats are gettin a few at mo, so not be long say another month and al be down the pier spinnin for mackerel cannit wait specially on days like this
