No Steve, a lovely blank. Bites started as the light faded but had to be back home for an early start at work.

Great pics Sean , i think that's another "no fish zone" but it's good just being amongst it, you never know.

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

good pic's what rig's do you use in a kelpy situation like that ?? ie the lenth of drop from the weight to the snood , i think the ones i made were too long and the bait was way to far from the cover of the kelp to tempt the fish out (if three were any about )

Pennel pulley rigs, make the hook lengths around 18 inches. Strong terminal tackle is a must as you have to bully the fish. You won't get much of a fight as the aim is to get the fish on the surface as quickly as possible, if you stop the retrieve the fish will snag you. This type of fishing is heavy on the arms but worth it when you get it right.

Sean I read in an earlier post that you use 18lb mainline is that just off the beach? I use 35lb main and 60lb long shockleader I was gonna ask might seam a daft one but your pully rigs do you have any probs with the tension on the hooklink when casting hard?

Clean ground then I'll use 18lb and a leader but the rocks I always use 30 - 35lb straight through. I don't have any probs with tension mate, sounds like there is a flaw in your rig. Remind me on when we meet and I'll show you one of mine.
