Hendon Prom..Warning

Went to fish Hendon last night in the Ryhope Comp. Fished off the front of the rocks in Bay 1 while the tide was out then moved onto Bay 2 as the tide flooded.
Lad stopped and spoke to me about 9pm and said did I know Scaffold had been erected on the Tunnel/bridge and that I'd be unable to take my vehicle out..!!!!!!!
No one had told me about this and scaffold wasn't present at 6:30pm..
Was anyone aware of this ???
Managed to get out at the opposite end between the bolders with about inch to spare and come out at The Grange pub..
If I couldn't get out, a chain was gona be attached and the lot was coming down !!
Missed the weigh in with a 2lbr but wouldn't have been enough anyway

They done it to me, I seen the vans come to the prom and turn around then stopped at the bridge, I managed to get through but they coned the road off so had to drive on them spikey cobbles
