  • Double sided flounders

once again a student from Newcastle University is doing studies into
double sided flounders. After some very good studies done by other students
Alison Lee is hopefully going to continue on with the good work. These
double sided flounders during the last studies where found all around the
coast line but mainly in the north east. They are still present around the
Wansbeck area and information is needed to find out wether they are present
in any other areas of the country. Anglers are requested to note down their
flounder cathces and state how many double sided flounders are present or
other abnormalities two sets of eyes etc, and send the info to Alison Lee at
    Alison.Lee@ncl.ac.uk or phone 07779 582086.

Any help would be very appreciated, if you need any further info
you can contaact her direct at the above

          Alan,
On the old site there used to be a link to an online form for submitting Flounder catch information. Is it possible to have it on the new site (question directed at Elton)?

Hopefully Elton will put it back up on the new site, the studentds gained a good deal of info from it.

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

Had 47 today Alan (Humber Estuary survey), no ambi-coloration or double eyed, but 3 were left handed.
If it doesn't bite its not worth catching!!!
