  • No fish in Canada

Safely home - the worst bit was landing at Heathrow in the thick fog on Sunday. No ground at all until you were about 100 feet off the runway. You must need good eyes to be a pilot.
No fish as everywhere was frozen solid. We did look for some waleyes but no luck.

Will sort some more out asap. When's it August?

Thanks Sean but no time for fishing. Just looked at the photo again - that's the lake we would have been fishing on. Lots of the teachers in the schools we went to had lodges on the side of the various lakes..........lodges with 3 bedrooms, en suites and all the rest. Canny life as they're all on $85,000 each, but lovely people who'd do owt for you.

Just a couple more that may be of interest. This is the lake that does best in the summer fishing season. The guy reckoned the ice was still a metre thick

but looking at the waterfall you'd never guess it

Couple of shots from the plane. The first one is of Lake Superior. The ice breakers had just arrived to clear a channel through

The second is for you geographers out there
