    Well after been told a couple of months a carnt go fishing due to bad health. I thought i would rebuild my rods to keep busy and keep my mind off other things. Anyway i orded some flags off hugh at mightbright and i have to say they are a first class item just like his tape. I have included acouple of photo's of the finshed items.

    Looks like you've done a cracking job there, a skill I would like to learn, I can see it would come in very handy.

        N1 - I'm into the DIY rod thing - just watching it, not doing of course

        Anyone here built a rod from scratch? Apologies if I've missed the thread. There's some superb pro and semi pro builders in the NE. A lot of the fresh water forums have dedicated areas for rod building, maybe it's more common in that type of fishing. Be interested to see pics and hear storys.
