  • Getting ready for the season.

Well It\"s that time of the year again. Just started checking the gear, ready for my first trip out next week, not sure where yet. Have decided to take some of the excellent advice given by Rab and Catchalot and have a drive north of the border at the end of the month (25th) so am looking forward to that. Got to do something as I am off the beer for a couple of months and am sick of drinking coke already.
Best of luck to everyone for the coming winter.

    Jim.

Been thinking about getting both my 535 and Slosh 30 serviced for the coming winter season.........any suggestions of where I can get them done locally (So. Shields area) and what the going rate is for a reel service ??

They\'re a doddle to do yourself Tony. The tricky bit only comes if the ratchet spring flies off somewhere!

Lol Mike I know what you mean. I have spent some time looking for the little darlings they shoot some distance. The best way to take them off is inside a clear plastic bag then they can\"t jump very far.

Tony ID in Newcastle do them at £5. Am sure you\'ll be able to drop them off at South Shields if they don\'t do them there. Always had a good job done.
