Just been on the WSF Scottish forum and seen this posting --
Seaton sluice sweepstake
Hi all 3 of us went down to fish the seaton sluice sweepstake last nite me, craig and keith,firstly should have taken the chesties,agreed to fish marks at amble me & keith fished a skeer at the saltpans at the back of the harbour while craig opted to go down to hauxley at the other end of the bay.Got down to the skeer and got the gear set up went over to talk to keith and the first wave got me ,soaked up to the knees 6pm comp starts first cast a rockling and then nothing for the next 4 hours, cant weigh rockling inn craig caught 1 undersize codling and keith blanked, in all 35 anglers fished the sweep from 6pm-10pm the only sizeable fish we heard of at our bit was a 31/2 pounder which we dont know if this won it or not,cash went to 1st & 2nd h/bags and 1st & 2nd h/fish.Had chips & curry sauce at amble before setting of home LESSON LEARNT remember to take FFFFFFing chesties next time cheers James
Anyone know the result??? Was in Frasers this afternoon and the crack was that only two weighed in outof 32 entrants.Can anyone put some meat onto the bones??
