  • Seahouses

Was going to give Seahouses a go, but was unsure how well it fishes this time of the year.Usually fish the rocks behind the south outer wall in the summer months in club matches.Opinions and advise always appreciated.

i holiday up at Seahouses in the summer. Only spun for stuff but have seen lads fishing from the rocks with beachcasters.Looks really rocky ground.
Personal best, 12.5lb Tope Scotland. 22/05/2012.

Tynemouth club have away matches at Seahouses though you dont necessarily have to fish Seahouses, Newton by the sea.Beadnel to name just two of the many marks you can try.Yes its on the rough side expect to loose gear, but the area behind the south outer wall wasn't that bad the times I've fished there I'vemananged to get everything back on most casts.Best from there last year was a 4lb 6oz red cod my son pulled out two nice Ballan Wrasse over 3lb and 4lb.

I WOULD TRY TO GET UP TO BEADNEL TO CHECK THE PLACE OUT IF YOU HAVENT FISHED ,THERE GET THERE FOR LOW WATER SO AS TO CHECK OUT THE NUMEROUS GULLEYS AND SKEERS. BEADNEL POINT IS ALWAYS WORTH A SHOT FROM THE POINT LOOKING NORTHWARDS YOUR SPOILT FOR CHOICE ON WERE TO WET A LINE AND THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE POINT RUNNING TOWARDS THE HARBOUR CAN ALSO FISH. I'M NO EXPERT AND ALWAYS HOLD MY HAND UP TO KNOWING VERY LITTLE AND FORGETTING QUITE ALOT BUT I WOULD SAY JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE IN THE BEADNEL AREA WILL FISH.PARKING IS USALLY DONE ALONG BY THE SEA WALL THAT RUNS PARALLEL WITH THE ROAD.iF YOUR GOING AT NIGHT AND AT THIS TIME OF YEAR YOU MIGHT GET PARKED DOWN BY THE TELEPHONE BOX,YOU WILL FIND THIS IF YOU TAKE THE LEFT HAND FORK IN THE ROAD SIGN POSTED PRIVATE RESIDENTS ONLY AT THE BOX THERE S A SMALL BARRIER BETWEEN TWO HOUSES PASS THIS TAKE A LEFT AND YOUR ON BEADNEL POINT.LIKE MOST OF THE ROCK MARKS ON OUR GLORIOUS COASTLINE IN THE SUMMER THE BEAUTIFUL RED COD CAN BE FOUND.LETS KNOW HOW YOU GET ON.
