i used to use an aereator pump with an air stone from a pet store. Used to keep them in an inch of sea water in a cat litter tray in a bait fridge.

You can keep them for ages in peat soil from the garden centre.
i have had some for over 2weeks now and they are still going strong lol

where are you going digging for bait?

i just keep them in an old fridge with an inch of fresh sea water in a cat litter tray with the same air pump.

then change the water every other day for fresh.

remove any sh**ty or dead ones and try not to cramp to many in each tray.

i found that to be the best way. otherwise just keep in new newspaper and remove any dead ones, just leave in the fridge.

they can do, just make sure any crap ones are chucked out as they tend to make the other go off faster. I try not to keep too many together as well.
this time of year, you can just keep them in a bucket in the garage etc with sea water and a pump. dont really need to be in the fridge, its cold enough as it is lol

i used to get a **** load of ggod ones from blyth mate.

there are a few good spots for rag.
you need to be there when the water is low, should be good around now as its a big tide, you have to be careful doing it in the dark as some of the mud around there is deep!!
where did you go in blyth?

we used to be able to get some cracking rag, been years since i have been.
used to go down for a few hours and get more than enough decent worms to last a good few sessions.

you just get up to the tits in stinking mud! lol

never really been for lug anywhere, fancied getting my self a bait pump for lug.

anyone know if that gets you past a bait digging ban??

good point it's then bait collecting really and no bloody big trenches can't see anybody having a go at you for using a pump not as though your harming anything let me know if you find out then that would open up places like buddle bay which would be rather good!!
