ok for pulling the plug out of the ocean lol its a beast and will lift anything and you will get plenty of heavy line on too ideal for rock marks or cliff edges

Had mine for years. Smashing reel. virtually anything thru rough ground.
"And I looked, and behold'a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with hi, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the earth"

There is no need to spend the extra on the mag version...it's not like the 525 mag, which has a completely different spool and brake set-up. It's just a bodged 535gs (ie a 535gs with a mag adjuster drilled and fitted in). This means it has the same relatively heavy spool and casts no better than the gs.

In itself, the gs is an excellent reel...go for that! A used model will be fine as they are seriously tough reels. I find it comfier than the slosh to cast as the gearing is out of the way. Mine are a good few years old and virtually look and run like new still.

Had one for ages, nice reel, good for rough ground, often used mine off the beach as well.
