  • Free Cod roe to collector

I have around 20oz of cod roe fresh from the double caught last night. I'll pop it in the fridge and the first person to come and collect it can have it free of charge. Send me a PM and please no timewasters. I'll put a pic up later and show you just how much is there.

Shame that nobody collected from the 3 forums I advertised it on, had a couple of timewasters. I even tried to give it to the cat but she's a picky bugger, anyway it's binned.

I honestly would have thought people would have been biting your arm off for this…

Did they never sell cod roe in chippies up here? Where I grew up in London, battered roe and chips used to be a real favourite. I've not seen it for years now though. Actually, until I moved up here it never really occurred to me that different chippies in different parts of the country would have different things on the menu. I can't remember ever having seen my favourites skate or rock in a North East chippie and it's only quite recently that you've able to get peas in lots of places down south.

Anyway, shame I never saw this earlier - I'd have loved to have tried it again.
