Maybe I should rephrase that. I need to buy a Reelsport Response before my credit card limit is reached. I do not think they are expensive just I haven\'t got any money. It is a rod I have always wanted. I like Terry, he laughs at me when I blank. Sold me my first back to fishing rod. Who\'s been slaging off Mr. Woods?

There was a review of the Response in TSF in February last year when it was still called the Longbeach. Barney Wright really rates it. He used to name it as his favourite rod, probably before the Century CME came along.
If I can get my new printer/scanner thing working, and providing I don\'t have any other distractions, like my first child being born (it\'s due next Tuesday) I\'ll see if I can scan a copy and e-mail it too you.
Failing that you caould always e-mail Barney himself.
I do know that Terry has a prototype blank that he will lend you to take a few casts with on the field over the road.
IMHO, it is the best rod I have ever used. Everyone who has tried mine, \'what\'s that?, oh yeah, I\'ve heard of them\' has really loved it. The finish is top class. When I collected mine, Terry was mithering about some blemishes I couldn\'t see. Amazing.
Terry\'s number is 0191 4300247, his e-mail adress is terry@reelsport.freeserve.co.uk
One thing, he doesn\'t (or didn\'t last time I was in there) take credit cards so it\'s good old cash only. Quite refreshing to hand over the cash though rather than a guilty swipe of the credit card.
Buy one you won\'t regret it. Mines a bit of a jinx though, two rods out, I don\'t catch half the stuff on the response I do on the other. Handles double and triple headers of dogfish well on somewhere like Chesil beach

Terry\'s response is a bit like a cross between the old TT Grand Prix and TT Sport. I find it great for swinging into an off the ground postion then launchin 6oz. Dead easy, accurate and unflappable.
Mine is also being rebuilt by Terry at the mo \'cos it got such a bashing last year.

Did your wife scratch it with the feather duster James, or it was damaged when those roughty toughty removel men picked it up without there cotton gloves on. Its a boody rod not a piece of furniture, get out and use it instead of admiring it.Many a true word is said in jest!

Simon, it crashed off the rod stand a couple of times and was involved in an incident at Camels, when I tripped head first into the surf and smashed it off a rock.
With your cast you could reach the sea from me back garden m8!
Good to hear you laughing again.
