I fancy giving ryhope beach a try out.
Could anyone suggest safest place to park & how to get to the best spots & the best times to fish them.
Thanks in advance.
I was gonna ryhope a go , asked the same questions and was told to park at seaham..:dlol ,i think ya better off parking up near the houses and walking down under that rail bridge ,i dont know how clean ground the beach is,i know people fish the cliff tops i think its called the target .

I think your talking about the village mate.Park on the village green and walk down under the railway bridge onto a wide concrete pad.The bottom is clean to the left of the pipe.Right of the pipe is a gap of 15yds then rocks. It fishes 3 up and 2 down the tide. You used to be able to drive down but i don,t know if you still can.
The target is much further left, along where the Toll bar used to be. You can't take your car down anymore but there is plenty parking at the village green. The area is heavy ground closer in but is mixed the further out you fish, as previously mentioned it fishes best 3 up 3 down. Should fish well after this brew.
The target is 1/2 mile north of the village. As you drive north to Sunderland there,s a little industrial estate on your right just before the roundabout.Behind this there,s a small bridge under the railway.Walk 100yds to a gap in the cliff.walk down the bank, there is a set of steps on to the beach. To the left is a pipe. To the left of the pipe is a small bay, this is the target.Fish it 3 down 2 up.you only need a 40yd cast to catch fish.Watch the tide as you can get cut off as it floods. The best place to park is behind the bus stop oppisite the trading estate......
