    Anyone using the mentioned rod?am i correct in thinking its 12ft in length,just thinking of a rod for the son that could be used in river as well as beach.Based on the fact he is'nt very tall so would possibly be ideal size for him,cheers.

    I have the vfm for me son but he uses the shackespear mpv a think its called its a crackin rod he loves it,hes had loads of fish on it too, if a never had the flattie fanatic a wpuld have the mpv , me son is small and find the vfm too big atm for him but other is ideal, hope this helps

          Had one a few years ago (about 6.years I think).cracking rod mate, sold it to Carl when I upgraded to the Response, he's still uusing it today.

              had 2of them, good decent rod, ideal for young lad and into teens and as a flattie rod when he gets older
