5pm today, tide is coming in, sea is fooking huge and the were a group of guys walking onto cambois pier to fish the lighthouse!!

in my book thats asking for trouble. they waves were coming over it this morning and the sea is getting bigger now!

i have lost a mate over the cambois area and wont even think about going anywhere near it in this weather.

just my opinion mind you

I'd not be risking the walk along there in these winds and with the seas coming over the top! It's bad enough on a calm night!

i can imagine that at high tide and with the wind and waves at full chat, they will be breaking over the pier and lighthouse.

im not having a go at anyone for doing what they want. but i would hate to see that guys were washed off the pier on the news
i just hope they know what they are doing and that they are not first timers etc. if one of those waves got hold of you on there and took you over the side, it will be game over

if you get into trouble on there, you will be stuck big style.

it was still light, im suprised the harbour master never done anything to stop them. they normally turn a blind eye, but in this weather you would think they would say or do something?

i really wondnt think of going on there if there was any waves licking over the concreate bottom of the pier. Supose its just me, i was shocked when i seen them going onto the end.

sad thing is though it will be someone like your son(in law?) that has to go and rescue these clowns due to a bit of madness/inability to assess risk.

please guys remember no fish is work risking either injury or death to you or those who would come to the rescue.

yep, those poor guys will be the ones that have to come and risk their lives to help you out. they do it for nowt as well!

i always get a bit iffy when we have rough seas, a lad i knew and used to fish with quite a bit was lost to the sea on a mega rough day at cambois

i have had a few iffy sessions and nearly been cut off by the incoming tide, like its already been side. No fish is worth taking the risk for in this weather.

me and my mate saw the RNLI guys doing a few practice rounds today in the river blyth with the life boat and the RIB.

must have been fun out there!

I was at Blyth at around 2pm and the waves were hitting the end where the light house is then,bloody huge.
I checked if anyone was on simply as when i drove down the river i saw some cars parked at the end
