  • Rock Rod

If you had a budget of around £200 for a rock rod which one would it be?

I\'m thinking of swapping my Penn PPT Groundcast for something a bit more enjoyable to use. At 14\'3\" and weighing the same as the average family car it proves a bit of a beast to cast with. It has enough power to pull kelp beds out, which is handy with snags, but I would prefer something around 13ft and reasonably light.

How good is the Greys Nitra?

    Cheers

A RT Accelarator. Look about the same as any of the new greys and save £100.

Seriously though, a second hand Tip Tornado Sport

My second hand Century Kompressor WR300 is now with me. It looks like new and as a bonus has a diamite tip already fitted (saved me a job). Not casted with it yet, plan to use it on Monday, but it feels really well balanced. It\'s also slightly more flexible than the Penn Groundcast which will help when a longer cast is needed.

I bought it off beachcaster who advertised it on here and I would certainly buy from him again. Think he\'s selling a tip tornado at the minute.

Once again, cheers for the advice Rich.
