Just tap it out with a dowl be careful though then clean both the female and the male of the joint use a bottle brush for inside then some ptfe spray.

I'd bring it in the house as said before and also use the ptfe spray, clean aswell obviously.
Use that ptfe every couple of months, you will know when it will need some, my komp SS gets very tight but that ptfe stuff is great. Can get it from halfords, several makes even wd40 have their version if it now but the 'all in one' cheap brand is half the price and does the job - black n white tin red top just make sure it's the ptfe one

^This^ is spot on. Used to have problems with my TTLD and Primo Synchro joints getting very stiff, a quick spray with the PTFE and they are spot on again for another few months. As soon as they start to get a bit dry and awkward to put together / part just give them another spray and away you go.

As for parting the rod I had a Mk1 Tip Tornado do the same to me (including driving home with it sticking out the passenger side window like some mediaeval knight on the jousting court. Took a while to get apart - best advice I can give is to put on a pair of Marigolds (give you excellent grip on the rod) and try to twist the two sections in oppositte directions whilst trying to pull apart. Took me a few days of doing this a few times a day and eventually it parted. Then sort it with the PTFE spray to stop it happening again

Get a mate and do a skipping rope action at either end whilst pulling. Be apart in 5 mins while you feel like a pair of right ****s
