    Where abouts Andy,the west coast probably has a 2000 mile coastline!! - can give you some pointers on the MOG mate

          Depends on the weather/wind on the day. I do not fish the Mull of Galloway in the winter but if I did would try the Yellow Isle/Port Patrick or one of the rock marks about half a mile south of Port Logan.If its a hard westerly I would snuggle into the "wall" mark,East Tarbet Bay.

          You would be better off posting on the WSF Scottish forum - or checking their catch reports

                    Port Patrick

                    Fished Port Patrick new years day night at a rock mark to the south of the harbour,good night me and me brother had about a dozen pollock that were keepers + more we threw back,a big doggy and a one that got away story.

                      I hate to mention this, but why did you keep a dozen pollack? Rock marks in that part of scotland are sensitive to localised decimilisation and if everyone did this we'd soon have no fish to talk about. Local skipper Iain Burret fishes a catch and release strict system; if someone starts keeping every pollack they catch he moves away.

                      I'm not trying to cause aggro, but just ask that you think about these sort of things in future thanks.

                          Dan, if he was a complete numpty he would have taken all the fish he caught wouldn't he?? Nothing wrong with taking a few for the pot, it's not like he's up there every week doing it....chill man
