After I raised another argument (basically telling him that if it results in just one more email sent to a MEP, then its a result), he's now told me to contact the site admin, which I have.

the thing is it would be a political matter,.... but its got 3 main interests 1. poltics 2. ALL SEA ANGLING 3. in the end with the amount of people refusing to fish most likely the end of there fishing forum, it it really a matter for the politics only section, i think not
Species: Cod, Bass, Coalie, Flounder, Dab, Rockling, Mackerel, Plaice, Pollock, Ballen Wrasse, L/S Scorpion, Common Blenny, Weaver (unfortunately), Whiting, Common Eel, Trout, Pike... think that's it

You know as well as I do, the majority of lads on fishing forums come on to find out where's fishing, and to ask for advice on marks. That takes them to their regional forum.

Thats what I pointed out to the mod in question. I now await an answer from the site admin

no offence to all the moderaters

The fishing forums as you said are visited for advice reports and marks that are fishing

If this moderater on a different site can't see this then i think he has his priorities as a mod and more importantly to the site mixed up!

I DO NOT think that any mods on here have that mix up.

Personally i would contact the admin with all theinformation and messages you have and see if he will do something.

(again not to our mods which are mint)

i think sometimes mod's of forums go to be someway a "power mad"... cock.

I've sent off an email expressing my concern about this proposal. One bit that confused me was "Along with these, catch and release will be banned", does that mean if I catch a fish, and then want to return it, I'm not allowed?

Maybe its like the trawlers, we should wait until there dead then throw em back.... cause it will give the fish there trying to conserve there siblings to nibble on

                      Just an update...

Got a pm from the site admin, who said this...

I've asked all of the regional moderators to put a post and stick it in their regions which will re-direct to the one central thread.
Well done to him, and well done to me for twisting so much

                          i really don't know

it's all bollocks, all i want to do is fish, and if i catch a few for the table i'l take them home and eat them, there's not a lot fish in the sea as it is, bring out another half cocked e.u law and i'll give up the sport i have loved for last 30 years alltogether, i admit there was some very strong arguments from the lads on this thread but in the end i,m getting very dispondent and i really dont know if its worth all the money i spend, which is hundreds and hundreds of pounds on no fish and strangling e.u laws.

sent my emails last night, then nodded off

one thing i will say though, this country suffers from complacency, and it seriously suffers from it, seen the same when the firearms act went into knee jerk reaction, same when the reptile keepers had a big threat hanging over them, higher fuel costs, pay to drive etc, etc, seems to be that the majority are happier to find a beach and shove thier collective heads in the sand, the mod from the other site if he had got his own way would have further fueled the problem
besides the crap we as anglers would have imposed you would see further job cuts from tackle shops and the industries that provide to them, not bad when you consider we are in one hell of a problem in this country and this would lead to further job losses, so any mp that does not back us surely is openly agreeing with adding further names to the unemployed register, no good saying oh that would not happen, in my opinion 75% of anglers would simply say bollocks to this an give the game up, few if any newbies would take it up

the great british lion is no longer, its now a toothless old moggy that runs from its own shadow

not bad for a country that battered hell out of the german axis idea of total european domination - yet here it seems to be back and renamed the e.u

well said, but saying that WE rejected the EU twice, and yet our goverment is still at it, morons with suits, personally they'll only listen when held by gun point
