Best with some sea running on a smallish tide,gulley at the bottom of the slope emptys out too much on bigger spring tides,half tide down on the ebb to half tide back on the flood.Or if you can cast a good distance,clipped down single baits,you can hit the gulley at high water,again on a smaller tide.from the top of the slope.One of those marks at Whitley beach,if you dont get a bite after couple casts,move north from there up the beach and try Old Salts,Panama,Wilkinsons,most anglers will point these out to you if anyones on the beach.
