Paul i was just bored last night thought i,d check google for Steetly. The photo was took by someone else a few years ago.
I like it as well-my mate Ian swears the pier gets longer everytime we walk up it.
Conservation body Natural England previously objected to the plans as the provision of new sea defences to protect the homes will see the loss of five hectares of birds' habitat.
obviously no one from there is looking to buy one of the proposed new houses then
one thing i have read that takes the **** is the council has money set aside for cleaning the area up, i would have thought that the owners were responsible for that as they created the problem, or if new owners, as they purchased the site with that problem and its part the purchase agreement
never know, if it goes ahead they may just build the anglers a nice, cctv covered car park
Land up here at the old works at Consett all had to be cleaned before building work took place. It was contaminated by all the ****e off the old steel works. They have only done a couple of acres to date.
It is not a cheap or quick process cleaning it up. I used to have a bit crack with the lads on the sites when i was walking me dog.

Do you think they'll put a shuttle bus on aswell ?
There'll be more chance of a Potholing club setting up there first..
