well as some of you know the breakwater on the headland is a really productive place to fish all the way along it and as some of you already know there is a big massive hole on in the middle of it that is crumbling away all the time its a shame that p&o transports that own it and the council wont join forces and repair it or even try to strengthen it as it will be just about non existant in 10 yrs time now i know thats a long way but several things will be spoilt when it dose go...ie all the houses on the sea front have to protect them is the sea wall which in my eyes is not high enough as when you do get a big sea running the breakers crash over it anyway all the basements of the propertys along there will be flooded out,the small piolet pier will be under water and wont last 5 minutes that leaves the middleton piernow thats a good mark in a south easterly but once the breakwater goes how long will it take for the strong northerly winds to get the sae up and destroy that???and if that goes will it flood out the marina not to mention the knock on effect along seaton carew how bad will that be hit?? somethings need to be protected and the breakwater in my eyes is one of the main things in hartlepool that desperatley dose need it
