  • Re-freezing crab

Anybody know if you can re-freeze peeler crab if you have any left over or does the re-freezing make it useless to use, also has anybody tried using jelly worms of shields-Roker pier as fancy giving it a go :P

sounds like you need to buy a food flask ,one with a wide opening, you can then keep your baits frozen ,be it peeler, sand eel or anything else, then you can take out your crab as you need it,i personally dont refreeze any crab that i have defrosted, any left i give away to fellow anglers, and when i get home put the still frozen ones back in the freezer. i was told that they turn black the 2nd time out and are useless as bait - but there is many on the board that will have a view,. :P :P

you can get a cracking wide mouthed stainless steel food flask at wilkinsons stores for about 13 quid, worth their weight in gold.
