Paul, I'm well aware of who started the system of national betrayal, the point I was making is that the problem here and now is our membership of the EU and the CFP, all colours of the political spectrum will do nothing to rock the EU gravy train.

Yup. I wrote to Alan Beith recently (Lib Dem, well known Eu Luvvies) to complain about him asking for a bigger quota for commercials in the NE. I thought that the Lib Dems were committed to the environment and conservation, but he claims that commercial anglers are entitled to a 'fair share' of the fish.Obviously he's more of a capitalist than a conservationist then! I have written back asking how he can state that when recreational anglers for an entire season across the NE catch less than the equivalent of one trawl? 'Fair Share' My A**e. Still awaiting his reply!
