My favourite marks are along the golf course mate. Turn right at the first roundabout where the big school is and follow the road round past the recycling area and you will see the golf club house on the hill to your left, keep an eye out for a path across the golf course to your right, park up here and walk across the golf course until you reach the rocks, they will be very slippy early morning with the dew so take care, dont wear chesties otherwise you will be like a pressure cooker when you climb back up.
I like the marks to the right of the path up to whalt point, walk up the hill take in the view then turn back and pick your mark from your view point, I like the island with the gut in between, if its high tide work your way back towards it from some marks nearer to you.

If you want an easily accessible mark, ask and park at the back of the caravan park, walk through the gate, turn left and walk 50 yards until the wodden fence ends. Scramble down to a flat rock which can be fished at all times of the tide. Cleanish ground and decent sport.

That's the Cannons just round the headland from the beach. Low tide mark - you either need to walk /scramble over the boulders round the headland or if you have a head for heights down a goat path from the top of the cliff.

North of there is I think the easy access mark to the flat rocks that Kayos mentions. Personally have never heard of much there other than on spinning gear.

Look on Phil Itofish maps on here. Scroll up to Eyemouth and look for the golf course south of the Harbour. scroll in and you'll see the guts and gullies. As Jamie says, the spot around Whalt Point is good. Bit of scrambling but it's not too hard although be careful if you're by yourself.

The place I mentioned produced in October school holiday, a few keeper codling, weirdly mackerel and a few small pollock. All off the bottom on lug. Easy access for a couple of 50 pluses! Ask nicely at the caravan park and they should let you park there.

PS If we can catch there, anyone can!

First map, that's Ramfauds. Access is pretty straightforward and fairly easy to get a mark on the south side of the gut.

Second map I think that's around Scout Point, south of Whalt Point. Personally I'd walk further south along the path about 200 yards and you'll be close to the Whalt Point gully. Harder to get on with a bit more scrambling but good fishing.

Well just got back fish golf course area and what a lovely day it was sunny and lovely views spent most of it climbing bluddy rocks and I'm am shattered legs killing me. Couple of tinny tinny tiddlers but no big fish. Seen a few good Pollock pulled in and then a boat drift fishing with 8 guys on about 300 yards from us so fish must have been there.
I'm not that bothered about not catching big fish as I loved the day out climbing on rocks float fishing like a big kid lol.
We left there and stopped at amble for chips which were lovely, but pier was poor have to keep reeling in all the time as boats are in then out then in then out lol
I'll post pics later as am on phone but what an adventure we had today.
                    Mick
