First Cod OfThe Year

Fished the Heugh yesterday. 10 til 6 nothing doing till around 4pm 2 lads came on and one of them on his first chuck he caught a 4.5 - 5lb cod. About 10 mins after that i got a 2lb 9oz cod. Only small but a cod but never the less a cod. And caught on me new rod Sonik SK4 (5-7oz).

Bait used for both fish lug and razor.

i was on tynemouth pier one night and i caught nothing in the spot i was in so i moved further along, next thing i know there's a lad fishing the same spot i was in and he pulls in three 7lbers in about half an hour, yes it makes you wonder
