  • Amble pier/mouth of the aln

Its a bit since I have been on the NESA site but would appreciate some advice. Planning to take the bairn for a few hours off either amble pier or the mouth of the aln at high water over the next couple of days

It depends on a few things really mate, 1. how old is your little un? as Amble only fishes in the dark and preferably with a good sea running when it could be a bit dangerous for a little kid. 2. What do you wanna catch? if your just after a couple flatties Id reccomend going for the Aln or even better just south of kllikranky on Walkworth beach and look for a hole to cast into. But if your after Cod then the pier is probably your best shot. Hope this helps.

        amble/almouth area - advice

thanks lads sorry I should have said the bairn has just gone into his teens not bothered about going for cod I will have rag mackeral/ and squid sounds like the estuary entrance at alnmouth might be worth a shot given that the sea is flat.
