Photo 1 - starting point. No fingers were hurt in this cast as the handles are on the opposite plate.
Photo 2 - give it a whizz, always remembering to take your index finger off the reel at just the right time so as to miss the group fishing at 45 degrees, 60 yards away.
Photo 3 - slow reel down with index finger to prevent birds nest, whilst allowing sinker to sink to bottom at chosen spot. Count fingers, just in case.
It's basically just a pendulum cast, using your finger instead of brakes.
