Was lucky enough to try out the above rod at the weekend in a fishing scenario

In a very similar vein to the Greys Platinum GSI (which I own) but the action is different...I was told that it'd be different and honestly didn't think I'd be qualified to comment but even a relatively novice angler like myself was able to spot how it felt in the compression of the cast. To me the GSI uses the tip a lot in the compression of it's cast...the SK4 seems to have it almost from the spigot joint yet still retains the power that I now associate with my GSI.

I was pulling in weed, hoiking out of snags and by the end of the night I was casting a 7oz gripper pretty crudely with cold, wet, tired hands...the rod didn't groan or grumble...

...I'd like to comment on the bite detection but alas I caught nowt...although I could see the crabs having a go

My verdict is that it's well worth the money; and I would thoroughly recommend having a look to make up your own mind.
    Ooh a new vid!

Tell you what if Tony Anderson is doing the testing they have to be strong, because he is nothing but a bully with his rods.
