  • Southerlies - Why not?

Why are southerlies not preferable in some spots whereas northerlies are?

Surely anything without a strong westerly in it is preferable over everything?
    Ooh a new vid!

The way in which food deposits in certain areas also change. General rule of thumb fish with the sea on yr back. Slatey being a northley shot and cullercoats being the southerly is a good example. That doesnt always work and fish will turn up at certain places 4 whatever reason. I'm far from figuring it out. Holes change on beaches. Sand moves and scours out depressions with different direction of swells. U might of found a hole on whitley beach in a northely that produces fish, but that could well have changed during a southerly and might be up the other end of the beach. If theres weed on the beach in a northley it will be dumped up at the south end cos the swells pushing it in that direction and vice versa. U may find theres no weed at all on the beach and u can fish anywhere and u may find its all over the bloody place. LOL Confused yet?! I am!

Just depends on the mark to be honest. I know 2 or 3 marks that fish well in south/south easterly seas
