ABU 6000 Advice

Hi all new member to the forum,just wondered if anyone can advise me on what size shock leader to use if any on my new abu 6000.Was planning on filling it with 15ld red ice for beach work.....?

always use 10lb of shock leader per oz of lead so for a 6oz lead use 60lb shock leader

oops i just read your thread again (properly this time) i think by shock leader you mean mainline, 15-18lb should be fine for light beach work and as for red ice i used it for years and its a good line, i now use diawa sensor which is just as good if not better.
