Bass fantastic , no one chucked a lead at him on purpose as I have just stated before , what it all comes down to is he wanted the place to himself thats the top and bottom of it , I was with the lad and it was nothing like hes making it out to be

Even casting in somebody's direction whether in a kayak, a boat, on a jet ski or swimming is stupid and totally out of order. It matters not who was there first or if anyone was being inconsiderate.
Even if your mate wasn't casting towards him on purpose, what if he cracked off and accidentally hit him? This would still be an assault as its obvious to any reasonable person that its reckless to cast a 5/6 oz lump of lead in the direction of anyone.
Theres always two sides to a story but let me make clear - CASTING EVEN IN THE DIRECTION OF SOMEBODY IS TOTALLY BLOODY STUPID WHETHER YOU MEAN TO HIT THEM OR NOT, THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IT.

Not really, it might be inconsiderate but anyone should have enough common sense not to cat towards someone even if they are annoying you. Ite unacceptable behaviour.
The kayak might be getting in your way and on your wick but its not putting you in danger of injury, casting towards somebody could kill them.
Right lets get one thing straight , yous sit there slagging the lad off who happens to be my mate who did not intentionally aim his lead at the kayak !! If he wanted to he could have hit him , and you say you were 100 yards out ? Thats a Load of bollocks you were more like 80 yards !! Yous are all quick enough to take this numptys side when none of yous were even there and even know the truth of what went on !! Anybody who knows us knows fine well we dont go out our way and target people with leads , at the end of the day you were going on like you owned the place when the fact is we have as much right as you do !! And if you had a problem and thought we were targeting you on purpose why didnt you come over and see us are call the police ? You did neither you just hurled abuse at us because we turned up to fish a match at a mark you were at and you didnt like it !! Then you come on a public forum trying to name and shame people !! Pretty sad imho
Are you saying the lad in the Yak was already there. If so why should he move?
Did not intentionally cast towards him yet could of hit him if he wanted makes no sense at all, In other words he unintentionally cast at him so mistimed his cast so how could he hit him if he had wanted to when he cant cast where he aims?
I've read through all the comments/posts and thought there's always 2 sides to every story, "who was there first being the main point" as nearly all of us weren't present we didn't know who was fishing the mark first
until Keith123 posted this.
As the post goes-

So whether he was at 100, 80 or 30 yrds out he was there first,
whether or not he could have hit him if he wanted to or not he still cast the lead in the direction of the kayak and casting a lead in that direction towards someone is irresponsible,
I had a good idea who it was straight away
and he should know better,
if he'd hit him and caused serious injury then where would he be!!!
The lads on the pics are not members on this forum , so there for they can not come on and defend them selfs so i have come on and put the other side of the story on for them

I've fished the Hall before, on the beach when some tossers arrived, decided they wanted to be where i was (there were 4 of them) and set up on the prom and cast over the the top of me. Very dangerous but when I asked them to jack it in I was told where to go. This was a few years ago when I was much younger and dafter so I cut their lines and got into a fight for my troubles.
Seems there is a conflict beginning to surface, between Kayak and shore fishing etc. Just read a post on WSF website, about another conflict, under general discussions entitled, 'Ignorant Beach Users'. Its relevant to this disscussion as he 'felt like 'firing a lead out at him' ( the Kayaker ) seems its only going to get worse in good weather, roll on the Winter Northerlies.....lol

So how close did his lead land to the lad in the kayak.and if it is closer than 30 yards do u not think that is irresponsible. I for one know that a strike with a lead can cause a possible fatality.....yes there's two sides to every story and I'm just an onlooker

Who said its was a 5oz lead? Assuming straight away and making facts up ? This lad uses carp rods on rock so how the hell could you chuck 5 oz lead at over 100 yards with a carp rod, alot of people dont know and over estimate what 100 yrds is so straight away could imagine COD bein only 50yrds which if he knew they was fisherman about should off f****d off further out of the where, this thread is b******t every 1 has jumped on the band wagon and took 1 side always 2 ends of story personaly a could imagine a person in a kayak taking the p**s thinkin he owns the place and for people to say that they would of casted bk at him makes them as bad or worse, yous have never give the lad was was fisging on the rocks a chance to put his view across also think its funny how you mouth off on here instead of growing a pair of balls and park your kayak up and confront the man only if u r actually tellin the truth

1oz, 5oz, 100oz, matters not. All could cause serious injury. Casting towards somebody at any time is stupid and dangerous behaviour. The fact the person you are casting at may or may not have annoyed you will never make such behaviour acceptable.
