    Hi im thinking of putting a set line out in hartlepool and wonderd the best meatord of setting it up. Ie weighting it down.any help would be good.

    you just want to make sure its fastened down good and propper cos if its like the last one i managed to reel in i will keep the hooks and burn the rest of the set line, nowt like fishing with a rod and working which part of the tide the fish are there, instead of leaving a lazy mans line ooops..meant set line out for 12 hrs....

      it will take more than a rod and reel to get mine and a lazy mans line is better than getting frost bite and getting nowt ......... just stock freezzer right up when i put it out thanks for advice

        I've found the best way to weigh them down is with the help of a mate. You and a mate drive your cars to the low tide line, say 100yds apart. Attach one end of the line to your bumper, the other end to your mates.

        Walk home, come back 12 hours later, and collect your fish.
