    congrats on ur first bass, a good one at that, i remember my first was two pound but it nearly pulled the rod out of the rest, never had me rod pulled since then mind:

      just in case you didnt know, for a headline story in the Journal you are meant to present me with the fish. Don't like fish, it's amazing how many anglers fresh and sea don't like fish. I have just had two lovely cod filletts for tea.

        well Mr charlton if you like you can drop some
        of them "lovely cod filletts " off at my house
        if ya like for my tea as i can't catch crabs
        never mind fish at the mo lol.

          i don't catch them I just go to the weigh ins, take a few photos and scrounge whatever fish I can get, beats having to get bait and going out on all those colds nights.

            Had some of the Bass i caught for my tea tonight. Two fillets cooked in oven wrapped in tin foil,lemon juice,Rosemary herb,virgin oil.
            Very nice but nowt flash.Tasted meaty. If i manage to catch anymore will cook fish whole and stuffed with herbs.
