There is a lad on the wsf forum goes out on boats from Hartlepool. They pulled in 1000 yards of gill nest couple of mile off and had over 9 stone of Cod. Fish 5-6lbs. When gutted bellys full of swimmer crabs.

              Mick.
Personal best, 12.5lb Tope Scotland. 22/05/2012.

dunno if its just me but when i fished regularly it used to be really good in september - loads of 1-3 lb fish then as the winter set in it got quieter but the quality of fish improved. were now into november and there doesnt seem to have been the usual run of small codling. Mebbies ive picked the wrong year to start fishin again or is this the norm nowadays???

Dunno m8.....Tell her the smell of lugworm would put off any potential fling material!

I fished from 11pm till 1.30am on Friday and all I had to show for it was 3 lost traces. Fished Seaton Point and it was heap lie on with Monkeys pubes (that right fine sea weed that builds up on your gear). Moved backwards and forwards along the beach looking for a clear spot but to no avail.
