First post , few questions

Hello everybody,
Ok a few weeks away from my 50th and I've started sea fishing which I've not done since I was 12 !! Got myself some gear, reading watching lots, and you tube stuff too.
If anyone can help answer these few questions I would much appreciate your help.
Marks- looking for a few around Blyth-seat on sluice area. And creswell as I'm working up that way at the mo. Last night I went to creswell boat house and went towards the village end! Where there was a rocky outcrop at low tide( stop laughing) caught nowt but loved it.
Is it best to keep my rag in a tub with bit sand and sea water or just wrap in paper ? as last night they were just dead and to mush in paper!! Only bought in morn too.
Size hooks- using 2/0 at present with rag, black tiny bit of squid combos any good ?
And finally for now!!!
where's the fish at?!!!

That's the best thing to do mate just have a look about at low tide and find some gulleys,holes etc then give them a shot during high tide, keep your rag in a cool bag and they will be fine in the paper..if it gets too wet just change the paper, fresh or frozen black lug with mussle or razorfish is good this time of year....and crab if you can get it

if shop bought . kept in paper fine , but not let get wet with vermiculite
if put in tub do not over crowd, both methods can be kept for several days
in cool place, fridge the best way.

if freshley dug .store in few mills of water in fridge, again not over crowded when ready for use drain for 10--15 mins then wrap up in newspaper to take fishing ( paper a very good insulater) if any lefft can be brought home to put back in water ready for next trip ,

also not let worm get mixed in with wet baits eg squid mussel razor etc

2/0s with rag and squid ok as well as mussel razor but have some 3/0 4/0s rigs ready for the bigger fish that due in the next few months

and with a few angling opens coming soon, get yourself down on the sundays they are on, you will see anglers on most marks between tyne mouth pier and lynemouth beach that way you wil soon know lots of places to fish hope this helps

Black lug and mussel would be good baits this time of year mate, peeler crab if you can get it. Also don't be afraid to use much bigger hooks and/or pennel rigs. Even tiny cod will engulf huge baits on a 6/0 even.
