    Mr King won it with 12lb bag from Cambois mate.

        Geoff King. Don't know the heaviest fish mate. I blanked and never went to weigh in as i needed a tommy tit all day so nipped straight home. Someone will post full results soon tho.

            I fished the private beach today in the comp, lots of people all the away along the beach, and i dont think one fish was caught.

              Likewise - I fished Hartley & don't think there was a single fish from the 30 or so people fishing Hartley / West bay. I was wondering where all the fish were...

                  276 fished, 44 weighed in mainly cod, with a few flounders, coalfish and bass. Considering the conditions and the catches of recent nights the weigh in was poor.

                  1st Geoff King four cod 12lb 8oz Cambois £500

                        Tony the lad didn't have much idea of the venue and was apparently fishing at the start of Harley Skeer in about two foot of water.

                          where bouts in cambois was the four codling caught? at high or low tide? is it the codling pools before the pier?

                            Back of the pier on the rocks. Low water. Probably nearer the silos as i was fishing further up behind the pier and never seen Mr King.

                              Well done for keeping it in Gregg. I once managed to sit on a "Bungles finger" (or judging by the state of me waterproofs, King Kongs thumb!) at the four posts on Tynemouth Pier. Someone had crimped one off in the tunnel. No warning flag in it or nowt. Not pleasant.
