Just a curious question if any of the rod builders on here can answer a question for me.Been following a saga on here where varnish peeled off a rod and one of the rod builders said this bondaseal they use is very difficult to remove once applied.My question is after a few seasons an a rod is scratched or needs a couple of eyes how would you be able to re build it again if you cant get this bondaseal off ?? Just curious,Bri.

You can replace guides without damaging the bondaseal if it's just guides that are damaged.You can also take some of the scratches out of a bondasealed blank with g3 or t cut but if to bad it's a scrape and re-apply job.Originally posted by bri1960 View PostComment

You can take bondaseal off, just takes time. I got a couple of runs once in it so let it dry for a day then sanded it back with wet&dry then re done it.Comment
