Another Sonik bites the dust

dont get me wrong lads there a nice rod to fish with and i used to defend them when slated but 3 snapped rods i wont get another as its allways in back of your mind is it going to snap maybe they have sorted it with xtrs hopefully i buy rod to fish with not for customer service when they snap

Known probs with the carp rods too,don't bother mate,get some century's,I use the ng's,can't fault e'm

got the sk3 13ft kicked the arse end out of it and have the sk4 16ft both sound rods both well used over rough ground and beach work

ok lads took back 2 broken tip sections of sk4 14ft 5-7oz to have them replaced
on arriving we were informed they dont have any more original tip sections left as they dont make them anymore we were however offered 2 brand new sonick sk4 xtr 14ft 5-7oz at £65 each instead of £279
i was a bit dubious as having 2 snapped but these new rods are different blanks to orig sk4 they feel nice rods better fittings as well tried to snap one we couldnt so we bought them for £65 each saving £215 per rod with full guarantee of replacement or cash back if not happy so will put them through there paces
customer service was spot on couldnt fault them

Decent offer by sonik mate. Think the customer service has to be spot on due I the issues they have with their rods!! When you get a good sonik blank though that doesn't snap, the lads who own them say they are very good rods!a
At £200+ I would expect your new toy to be a decent rod, keep us informed!!

Thing is Mark all that makes me think is there only worth £65 in the first place

Pop not been disrespectful but I would have asked for my money back,you would have been better off buying a good second hand rod than buy pure and utter Chinese -hite.

maybe mate but prob get £150 each on ebay they sell well sonicks in other parts of country nd that wud get me a better 2nd hand rod could be way to go

Remember when Greys GRX were snapping on the tip section years ago? That turned out to be someone in the factory using the wrong mix of carbon cloths that wasn't known about till they started snapping and were investigated. I wonder if the same has happened here?

I'va I had a sonic sk4 went to arbroath trying to lift a 9 lb cod up, and my rod snapped in 3 places, I took it to blyth the factory and he did me a good deal if u want to discuss it I'm on 07951812624 Steve
