Had a walk down behind Latimers at low tide today and I think this is the mark known as the Mudhole. Looks like it would be great to me in a big Northerly and a big sea. Anyway hope the pictures are some use to regulars along that stretch.
excellent pic m8 seems to be a good spot I am sure some of the sunderland lads will know it well, more so with the pier now closed for repairs car park nice and close + fish in chips or and ice cream
Nver fished it before but heard a lot about it. Do you chuck straight out from that bench into that hole, probably pretty obvious but thought id ask anyhow
I know it fished over high water but what size tides are best?
I'm from Whitburn and used to live about 100 yards from there. That is the mud hole mate. When you get a sea which makes most other places unfishable then go there. Not always the most productive but throws out some big fish
