  • The Beacons sun 12th

Went for my first chuck in about 6 years on sunday, started at the south end fishing from low water up. Getting loads of small knocks but connected with nowt, moved to a mark i used to fish regularly on the north end (fairy rocks) and same again managed to eventually land what turned out to be a small (extremely) coalie.
But never had one decent bite all morning
Was using rag/lug cocktails - got them from mcdermotts and have to say was unimpressed with the quality of them - rag were almost "harbour rag" sized and lug was on the turn. anybody recommend a decent bait supplier - cant be chowed with going diggin em myself nowadays

Still enjoyed bein out there though!
Quite a few folk fishin lyne burn but dont know if anybody had anything of note.
