Might be a bit late in the season now but there may be still one or two Smuts about.Best bait,Crab.
The Manxans rock at Borness hoys a few out,but the best shot is further west at Auchenlarie just past the caravan park.Park on the A75 in the layby.
Heres a pic that shows how to get on the best mark.The blue circle marks a cave you go through.It also throws up a few Tope and decent Bass.
PS.You do get cut off over high water mind.
Torrs point to the left of the lifeboat station is good for Thornies.

Depends on the size of the tide,usually a max of 3 hours either side of high water.
