Hi mate, as long as you are a member of NESA you can fish the comp. As I said I don't mind someone bringing a friend as long as I have their name on my list.
Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
Hi, as a newish member I was looking forward to fishing this to meet a few people, however it's on the same night as the Whitley Club Xmas comp. As we're fishing 7.30 - 11pm, same boundaries, would it be okay to register then fish both in conjunction (I realise I'll be fishing for 1/2 hour less), but will be able to get to our weigh in just up the road, 11-11.30, then pop down to Rendezvous?
Saturday 13th December fishing from 19:30 to 23:30.
Meet at the Rendezvous car park Whitley Bay from 18:30 -19:00.
Only two hooks allowed per rig and only one rod lol.
Back for weigh in by 00:15 prompt at the Rendezvous cafe car park, if it is 00:16 you will be too late to weigh your fish and NO excuses.
Entry £10:00 per person half going to the RNLI, half going to heaviest fish and heaviest bag payout.
Boundaries : Tynemouth pier excluding pier to The Peeping Toms inside Blyth pier. Excluding the concrete jetty.
No problems with bringing a friend along but please let me know any names so that I can keep a list and know who is coming to save me waiting about lol.
If I have missed anything just let me know as I usually do.
The Rendezvous car park is just past Whitley Bay swimming pool which you pass just after leaving the town centre heading north. When you reach the mini roundabout at the bottom of Monkseaton Drive, turn right.
This is not the N v S comp, that will be held in February hopefully.

just a bit of advice , if its on the same night as another comp im assuming some spots will be wanted by a number of anglers , what is the normal procedure if you get to a mark and other anglers are there ? what space /gap do you leave between each other etc ?

It's called tough t*tty ...park as close to them as is comfortable for either Angler is what I would say...assuming you can cast in straight line you should have no probs
I have yet to experience bolshiness IE "this is my turf"
