From the catch reports it looks like Whitley and South Shields Pier are doing ok but for softies like me who like nice sandy beaches, which of these is fishing best?...Or which is generally better?
Druridge Beach OR Blyth Beach?
(I know it's all about finding the holes but is one generally better than t'other?) Cheers
Last two times on Blyth beach m8 its been dismal. One codling of around a pound and a half was all that i caught. Havnt tried Druridge this season but ill look out for your report if thats where u decide to go. Best of luck wherever you go.
I would say cod wise blyth beach is probs more consistent. Fish near the groynes as there's a nice hole there but it seems to shift slightly every year
what about cambois or sandy bay beaches? I have always done ok from sandy bay, caught my best fish there 8.5lb and if theres no cod about always chance of smaller stuff.
P.S. This weekend will be only the third time this year ive had the chance to go fishing so unless the conditions are really good it might have to be one of the piers. A blank might put me in a bad mood till Xmas. We'll see....
