  • First time on Seaham pier: any advice?

I joined Seaham SAC at the weekend and am hoping to have a first session on the pier some time this week. Does anyone have any tips? Where are the hotspots? (Or if not the hotspots, are there any bits to avoid at all costs?) When does it fish best? (High tide? Low tide? Big tides? Small tides?) What's the bait like from the shops in Seaham? Am I right in thinking the only parking is back on the main road opposite the clubhouse? Is there a khazi in the harbour anywhere? Erm, that's it, I think…

we like to fish from the 30 marks or the drum end of the pier
theres no karsie just damp into the sea lmao
bait wise seaham angling supplies are ok for rag/ frozen baits
hes only open till 1 on wednedays tho
if the pier is awash tomorrow night we fish seaham beach towards featherbed rocks had 2 codling from there in the last 2 weeks and lots of whities this year

      hope this helps

Winds look a bit on the strong side this week, and the pier is really exposed.

I like the 27 mark on the pier, but have had some bumper days from the 5 mark just down from the drum.

I fished all last season on me own too, does get a bit bad whan you start asking yourself questions and answering them. I even had an argument with myself, trying to decide what time to pack up and go home.
