  • Blyth pier

Thinking of fishing it tonight but have never fished it before. What's it like fishing from around low water and does it get busy?? Any pointers on which part of it to fish? Or is it all decent?

It's been very quiet as far as i know mate. I've not had much at all. There should be whiting there when it gets dark and you always have the chance of some flatties.

Where's best.....try the bend casting straight out (bit kelpy close in so quick retrive when you get near pier.

The end casting into the mouth or inside into the river.

It can get busy but with the macky moving off it should be a bit less crowded.

Best of luck to you if you get out.

Is that casting into the sea or the river on the bend??? What about parking? Is there any available nearby and is it safe?

Usually park in the spaces next to the caravan storage place, never had a problem.

If ya reeling in quickly be careful as ya gear leaves the water or you'll end up snagged on the pier.

        Good Luck!
        Cheers, Keith.

Me and my mate will be down at the pier tonight. Will be fishing at the end of the pier, casting toward St Mary's. Look out for the bloke with the greys orion and penn fixed spool.

Went down there, caught one Whiting about 3" long.

I'd been told the pier was quite narrow, didn't think they meant that narrow though!
